Story

Fairy Tower is a magical construction that was built in ancient times. It used to create strange, magical items. But one day it collected all the items it had created and sealed itself.

Since then the tower has been deep asleep in the fairy village. Legend says that it is the remains of aliens who came to the earth from the outer space. Also, the villagers worship it as crops and plants grow big around the tower.

But then something unusual happened. The magical items were blown off with the power of the tower as the sealed door at the steeple suddenly opened. Therefore, the magical items were scattered all over the human world again.

The scattered items have very strong magic powers that might destroy the world order if someone uses them without proper care. You must collect the items and store them in the tower to seal them until the proper time comes. To achieve this, you must first retrieve the power of the tower.

There are four gates in the tower that are for the Water, Earth, Light, and Wind Spirits, respectively. The tower works only through the union of the power of all four spirits.

Player must collect four Orbs and install them in Fairy Tower to activate it.
Then retrieve all twelve missing devices.

Four ORBs
  • Water Orb(Blue)
Hit all three blue spot targets near bumpers. WATER ORB LIGHT start blinking at the entrance of GARGOYLE RAMP LANE. Then shoot the ramp to get WATER ORB.
  • LIGHT ORB(Red)
Shooting ENT lane five times awards LIGHT ORB.
ENT MULTIBALL starts when the fourth ball enters ENT LANE. LIGHT ORB is awarded either during the multiball or after quitting the multiball.
  • TERRA ORB(Green)
A souvenir light starts blinking when droping both two drop targets at Dwarf Village. If any SOUVENIR LIGHT is blinking when shooting U-TURN LANE, a DWARF SOUVENIR is awarded. Shooting U-TURN LANE after getting all four DWARF SOUVENIR awards TERRA ORB.
DWARF MULTIBALL starts when the fourth DWARF SOUVENIR is awarded. TERRA ORB is awarded either during the multiball or after quitting the multiball.
  • WIND ORB(White)
Completing the drop target bank in front of the Tower four times awards WIND ORB.
Installing ORBs in the Tower

Install the awarded orb in the tower by shooting it. You can install multiple ORBS at the same time.
ORBS can be installed only in single ball play.

INSTALL ORB light at the entrance of the tower indicates when ORB installation is allowed. The four diamond shaped lights indicate the status of each orb of corresponding color;

  • Off - not yet awarded
  • Blinking - awarded and ready to be installed
  • On - installed

Tower Multiball

Tower Multiball starts when all four ORBS are installed. You retrieve one missing device by starting Tower Multiball. JACKPOT turns on at the Tower during the multiball.

Super Tower Multiball

If all four ORBS are installed at the same time, Super Tower Multiball starts. It scores more than Tower Multiball and you can retrieve three missing devieces by the multiball.

Ultimate Tower Multiball

Ultimate Tower Multiball starts when all twelve missing devices are retrieved.

Quick Multiball

Installing an ORB which has the same color with the tower gate starts Quick Multiball.

Note1: If the conditions of Tower Multiball is sufficient, Tower Multiball starts instead of Quick Multiball.

Note2: Golem and the tower rotation
Shooting GOLEM HOLE four times rotates the tower.

Note3: WYVERN, the guard of the tower
WYVERN goes down in single ball play. In other words, it goes down by shooting the pale blue roll over star when ORB installation is possible. You can aim at Super Tower Multiball avoiding ORB installation.

Note4: WYVERN and GOLEM
When WYVERN is on the ground, the ball rolling through the right most lane(behind the tower) is taken to GOLEM HOLE. You can aim at rotating the tower by using it.

Tip for the ball control

Among the various flipper techniques, we recommend to use Flip Trap/Live Trap in this game. This technique is; touch the ball at the exact timing of the flipper reaches the top position. If you succeed, you will see the ball rolls down to the flipper stops at the top of the flipper just like a magic.

By the way, the illustration shown left is ENT. ENT is a guardian of forests. It appears in the opening sequence of Fairy Tower as a green god wearing a mask with fangs. Reiko painted the image as "guardian of forests" reminds her of ancient Indonesian gods. Image of "Green man" also came to her mind when making ENT's image.
